seem은 ~ 처럼 보인다. (알지 못하는 사실에 대한 추측) 

1. 이런 경우에 사용 불가

나 기분이 날아갈 것 같아요. 

=> 내 기분은 이미 내가 아는 상태이기때문에 사용불가 

그렇다면 아래의 경우는 사용가능

=> you seem sad: 너 슬퍼보여 (남의 기분은 알지 못하는 사실이고 나의 추측성 발언이다.) 

2. seem to 동사원형: ~ 하는거처럼 보인다.

그녀는 괜찮아보여

She seems to be ok.

3. seem 형용사/ 명사

4. seem like 명사(구) 혹은 절 말하기

* seem like/ sound like/ look like/ taste like의 공통점은 like가 모두 동사가 아닌 전치사라는 것!

그래서 like 다음에 명사가 와야함. 

ex) seem good (o) / seem like good (x) 

5. seem that 절

wait: 기다리다. (기다리는 시간이 짧을지 길지 알 수 없음)

hold on: (잠시) 기다리다.

hang on: (잠깐) 기다리다. hold on보다 덜 격식을 갖춘 느낌

잘난체하는 느낌의 영어단어

1. power trip: 갑질

ex) he is on a power trip : 그 남자 갑질해

2. condescending: 잘난체하는

condescend는 타동사일때는 자신을 낮추는 뉘앙스가 되고 능동태이면 남을 깔보는 뉘앙스로 전환된다.

ex) he is condescending : 그는 잘난척해

3. pompous: 오만한

ex) he should be embressed about his pompous action: 그는 자신의 오만한 행동에 부끄러워해야해.

4. patronizing: 아랫사람 대하듯 하는

ex) he is patronizing his employee: 직원들을 아랫사람 대하듯이 해

1. used to 사용법

be used to - v : ~ 하는데 사용됐다. 

used to : ~ 하곤했다

be used to ~ing : ~ 하는데 익숙해지다.

2. look at 사용법

쳐다보다

고찰하다 ex) chaelin looked at children's logical and emotional activities

3. better off -ing : ~ 하는게 낫겠다.

tourist attraction: 관광명소

moral: 윤리성

distraction: 오락 (머리를 식히는 놀이)
